![]() The document in question should be taken as a guideline for Nintendo Switch, therefore it is very partial to the current list of upcoming games, but the present should at least be confirmed for the current fiscal year, which will end March 2024. Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development.Among the many factors that emerge in these hours after the publication of the Nintendo financial documents, there’s also the programme of upcoming games coming to Nintendo Switch which shows Pikmin 4 and for that reason the presence of Metroid Prime 4 could also arrive within the fiscal year. Perhaps there could be a Metroid Prime-related surprise instead. New details regarding Metroid Prime 4 are also a possibility, but unlikely given Nintendo's current priority is the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Many reliable sources believed the Metroid Prime remake for Nintendo Switch would launch in 2022, though that obviously hasn't happened. But if an announcement is coming, it could happen surprisingly soon.Īs for what Metroid Prime announcement could be forthcoming, the most likely possibility is the rumored remaster of the original Metroid Prime. While a Nintendo Direct is typically hosted in February each year, there are no currently announced events, and a reveal on the weekend of New Year's Day seems extremely unlikely. As in, their leaks are typically shared the day before a Nintendo Direct or other official event or announcement. One interesting aspect of this leaker's routine is that they typically share their leaks only when the announcement is coming very soon. There is no official confirmation or verified evidence of the leak's truthfulness, though, so it's best to maintain some amount of skepticism. They decided to share the leak regardless due to the leaker's past "undefeated record" of reliable Nintendo leaks. They shared that the mysterious user didn't respond, though. The moderator for GamingLeaksAndRumours reached out to the Reddit user hoping for further information or some sort of verification. Metroid Prime fans may have something to look forward to soon. This leaker knows information about upcoming Nintendo projects, and they're implying a "Prime"-related announcement is forthcoming. There are no capitalized letters, but the context should be clear. The message this time around is "Do you think everyone is primed and ready?" That's the entire tease. Now, Fun_Way_6592 is apparently back, once again sending a message to a moderator of the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit. RELATED: Metroid Prime Dev Team Kept Their GameCube in the Freezer By all appearances, the leaker has legitimate access to insider Nintendo information. One key example shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit involves sending a moderator the message " Zelda fans will be crying Tears of joy tomorrow" ahead of the reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's full title. These leaks have then been proved entirely accurate. Their Reddit posts have almost entirely been ignored, yet they've consistently and publicly leaked Nintendo announcements ahead of key events. ![]() It's difficult to take any Metroid Prime leak seriously, but this leak stands out in an intriguing way. Claimed "leaks" related to Metroid Prime have been happening for years, as rumors continue to swirl regarding not just Metroid Prime 4 but also remasters and remakes of the original Metroid Prime and the Metroid Prime Trilogy. A Metroid Prime-related announcement could be coming soon according to a mysterious yet eyebrow-raising reliable leaker.

It seems the required entitlements to access the Secure Enclave changed and broke the build for Catalina and above so it didn’t work for me. SEKey (also written in Rust) does this and it definitely worked…at some point. It’s such a great idea in fact that people have done it. Now, the Secure Enclave, sounds like a great idea. Key security is one of the whole reasons I’m here so I won’t settle for anything less than keys being protected by some sort of secure enclave. ![]() The result was a new library I called `sshcerts`. I kept a lot of the parsing code, but added a new private key module, certificate verification and signing, dozens of tests, an example that emulates `ssh-keygen -Lf`, among other things. Since I was going to be making such core changes to the library, I forked and rewrote most of it. The closest was `sshkeys`, a library which supports parsing SSH certificates but doesn’t validate them. In Rust but there isn’t much SSH certificate tooling. If the CA key is compromised, it’s even worse than stealing a user’s key because it can issue certificates for *any* user.Įven though it sounds like this is even worse than just using chef, these are programming issues, not systems issues, so I was willing to continue on. Now I need to secure a CA key *and* the local user key. A certificate has a list of authorized principals (users you can log in as) but not hosts. There is decent tooling for Go and Python, but not Rust. I need to write my own SSH certificate authority. Looking more into SSH certificates I now had the following issues: Even smaller if I can issue the certificate to be valid only for a certain server. Issuing a certificate for 2-5 seconds makes the window for abuse is very small. SSH certificates are great but they aren’t generally used in home deployments because certificate features like expiration, serial numbers, principals, allowed extensions, aren’t generally important to smaller deployments and just add complexity.Īlso while, certificates don’t solve the key security issue, it does solve the logging issue, if I use ultra short lived certificates. I know this is basically textbook “Use chef” but I’m not there, yet. Updating anything about logging needs to be updated everywhere or logging breaks. It also appears the full context is spread across multiple lines.Įvery host will need to report these logs, meaning every host needs telegraf. I.e bad password looks very different from bad key. The log format is complex, and seems to change significantly for slightly different connections. Maybe I’m just bad at log parsing but looking at the sshd logs gives me two problems: I wasn’t too broken up about this though because this solution didn’t solve my other biggest problem: centralized logging. Even though the Yubikey has 20 (!) extra slots for keys, SSH doesn’t see them.Įven if I weren’t, I might want to use them for mTLS certificates in the future meaning I’d have to erase my SSH keys, or just kick the key security can down the road to when I get there. I’m already using the authentication slot on my Yubikey for code signing, so I’d need a separate Yubikey. You can load a key on it, set some flags and it just works! I experimented with this but quickly ran into show stoppers. However it turns out SSH now supports smart cards for authentication. ![]() So do I just bite the bullet and use SSH keys as above? I could use OpenPGP and a Yubikey but that feels to me gross and add dependence on OpenPGP. Then I still need to enter a password though so the benefit didn’t feel there (even though it is).Ĭloud infrastructure has joined the fight. Now I really should be using keys, but then I need to update all the hosts, and where am I going to put the key to keep it secure? The best would be to encrypt the key and keep it in ~/.ssh. I have my own infrastructure that I need to access remotely using SSH and when it was just a couple servers in my closet, a password was fine. The strip of beach-front five-star hotels including the Sentido Perissia, Barut Arum, Crystal Sunrise Queen and Melas built in the late 80's and 90's hit the sweet spot in terms of location and quality. Much care needs to be exercised when choosing! In the Summer you can pay anything from £3/night right up to £3000/night and price is not a great determiner of quality. The problem is that there are now around half a million hotel beds in the greater Side area and every category, style and location of hotel. Each has its merits but to me Side has it all - extraordinary ancient ruins with the centre built among and over them, the second-longest sandy beach in the Mediterranean and hotels that can easily out-class those in Belek. I know that people who visit Belek tend to return year after year to the exclusion of other resorts on the Antalya coast. My personal favourite is the Sunrise Queen but the Melas, immediately between the Hemera and Sunrise Queen and the Arum and Perissia hotels are also safe bets and all in a great location around 40 minutes walk along the pedestrian promenade to ancient Side. If you like the five star hotels of Belek then I would choose a five star in Side. I spent four weeks there in 1999 and chose not to return. It may have improved in the intervening years but it remains architecturally very simple - reminiscent of a Thai beach hotel to me. The correct way to send something to Pinboard is to fetch the url and populate the title field appropriately and set the to read flag. The only problem I have with this "workflow" is with the apps I use. It seems like a waste not too see them in their natural habitat. Getting rid of the clutter that junks up a lot of the web pages on the Internet is useful, but most of the sites I read are actually well designed. Besides, I'm lazy and forgetful so in most cases it just wouldn't get done.Īs a side benefit I can also view the articles as the authors intended them. I don't have to worry about pulling the page into Evernote or something similar for long term storage. Instapaper has multiple fonts, whereas Pocket has only one serif and sans-serif font. They have sepia color schemes, dark, and light, forming the custom brightness setting while reading, and the font options are also available. And since I pay for the archiving service, the full content of the pages is automatically saved for me. So, if reading text articles is all you want to do, Instapaper’s the app you want. Instapaper and Pocket have basic reading features where users can choose from various options. I'm not reading articles with one service and "bookmarking" them with another. The single biggest advantage to this new "workflow" is that everything is in one place. Now that there's finally a good Pinboard app, I have. But in the back of my mind I knew it was there, waiting for me to find a good use for it. Even when I wrote my Pinboard reading list script for Pythonista, I wasn't seriously using it in any meaningful way 4. Like a lot of tech nerds I jumped on Pinboard in the early days. So what, then, is the fourth option? The FreeBSD of read later services, if you will. After all, that wouldn't fit my absurd analogy comparing the three aforementioned services to the three aforementioned operating systems. But not because I've seen the light and embraced Readability 2. And now, for various reasons that I won't bore you with, I've ditched both of them. This despite the fact that Pocket has an average rating of 3.2 and Instapaper has an average rating. Pocket is the 50th most downloaded iOS news app, while Instapaper comes in at 199th. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses and I've gone back and forth more often than I care to count. Send articles to e-readers like Kindle (this can also be done automatically) Yet, despite all of this, Pocket continues to dominate the read-it-later app market.
